Business advice
Business Gateway Ayr
South Ayrshire Council's business advisers, for people starting a business and for firms that want to grow.
Business Gateway's Ayr advisers work in County Buildings on Wellington Square. They give practical help and advice on starting and running a business, including what funding there is. Appointments are made by phone.
Business Gateway also runs online workshops several times a week, on subjects such as bookkeeping, marketing, recruiting staff, websites and AI tools.
The council also runs the AMBITION programme for people setting up and for businesses that want to grow, Community Wealth Building with the Ayrshire Growth Deal, and the Supplier Development Programme for firms that want to bid for public sector contracts.
The council's own page gives slightly different hours (9am to 4.45pm, Fridays to 4pm), so phone before you go.
