Signed heritage walk
Blue Bonnet Trail
Follow Tam o' Shanter's ride on foot: 3 signed miles from the High Street to the Brig o' Doon.
Blue Bonnet signs mark 31 places on a walk from Ayr town centre to Alloway. The main route, Tam's Trail, starts at the Tam o' Shanter Inn on the High Street and follows the hero of Burns's poem. It takes in the Burns statue and Belleisle Park, then woodland with sea views to Arran, the haunted Auld Kirk and the Brig o' Doon.
The shorter Alloway Trail links the Birthplace Museum, Alloway village, Rozelle and Belleisle.
